New job with World Resources Institute!

I am super excited to announce that I’m starting a new phase in my career! After three incredible years, I’m leaving the Society for Science & the Public and joining World Resources Institute next week.

After several rounds of interviews and a writing and editing test, I’m so thrilled to be offered this position. I’ll be the new communications specialist in the Governance Center, where I’ll be working on climate change mitigation, indigenous land rights, water resources, and other critical environmental issues. I can’t wait to dig into these issues that matter so much to me, and so much to our world!

During my time with the Society, I was promoted several times, moved from Communications, to Marketing, and back to Communications, and wrote nearly 500 blogs. I’m definitely giving myself a pat on the back for that accomplishment! I interviewed emerging and established scientists, distilled scientific information for lay audiences, improved website content, told stories with impact, and more. I’m really grateful for all of the opportunities I had while at the Society, and for working with such a passionate team.

You can view Nearly 500 blog posts written at Society for Science & the Public. It’s a visual for the work I produced — work I’m proud of.

Now, onto WRI!
