I haven’t been posting articles at the start of this semester because I just transferred to the University of Maryland and have been focusing on getting into the Philip Merrill College of Journalism.
But I also have become involved in open mic night poetry readings, sharing my own writing and enjoying listening to others, especially slam poetry. I am the Poetry Editor of Stylus, the literary and art journal at the University of Maryland
I am also the Online Editor of The Writers’ Bloc, the university’s Jiménez-Porter Writers’ House newsletter. It is printed monthly and has an online version. Interviews with Writers’ House residents, samples of their work and art, articles, blog posts and updates on literary and art happenings at the University of Maryland will be featured in the newsletter. As Online Editor, I manage two online reporters, teach them journalistic style and AP Style and edit their articles. I also write some articles and will be updating this portfolio when my articles are published.
