Social Distancing and Poetry

While self-quarantining and social distancing, it is more important than ever to engage in activities that bring you joy. That is why I’m so excited to be able to host a virtual writing workshop with MoonLit! MoonLit, founded by Kristen Zory King, offers low-cost, accessible and engaging literary programs in D.C., Maryland, and Virginia.

Join me April 30th for Dispatches from our Planet’s Future: An Ecojustice Workshop.” We’ll be opening our windows, surrounding ourselves with plants, and slowing down to notice nature. This workshop will provide a space for writers to engage with the Earth, address current events, imagine potential futures, and find solace in the present. We’ll be reading ecojustice and environmental writing, and creating our own. If you are interested in defending the environment, science fiction and climate fiction, and the catharsis that can come from writing during stressful moments, this workshop is for you. Writers of all ages and levels welcome.

The workshop is $20, but scholarships are available. Register here.
